Earlier this month, all-new Echo Dot and Echo Plus were launched in India. Today, Amazon has let us know that nine new devices with Alexa built-in have launched in India and very soon, Indian consumers will have as many as 17 Alexa built-in products, including smart speakers, headphones, earbuds and a set-top box. Launched this month, the devices with Alexa built-in in India are Decibel from iBall, a wireless Bluetooth over-ear headset with built-in Mic, priced at Rs. 1,799; whereas Motorola has brought Pulse 3 and Plus 3 Max headphones priced at Rs. 1,599 and Rs. 2,599 respectively. Bose has launched new speaker and soundbars with Alexa built-in– Bose Home Speaker 500, Bose Soundbar 500, and Soundbar 700.
However, other brands are not left behind as they get ready to launch an array of Alexa built-in devices in India. The brands that introduced Alexa built-in devices are iBall, Sirena Technologies, boAt and MyBox making the products Alexa Voice Service (AVS) compatible. These new products will be launched next month. The first product is the Breathe-M from iBall. These foldable, multi-functional and highly portable headphones with light-weight ear cups and soft leatherette cushions offer flexible wearing and a comfortable fit. It has got LED circular ring lights on the ear cups, which showcases a breathing effect according to the music playing. Customers can access Alexa on this device by downloading the VerveLife App from the App Store or the Google Play Store. The headphones are priced at just Rs. 2,225.
The next product is also related to audio and it is Vood by Sirena Technologies, which is the world’s smallest portable smart speaker. It has got Wifi 11ac and Bluetooth connectivity, 5-6 hours of continuous audio streaming capability and 2 days of battery life. Users can play integrated Wi-Fi music services like Amazon Prime Music and Saavn, or use Bluetooth to stream from a phone or tablet. Priced at Rs. 2699, Vood will be available from mid-November.

Yet another smart speaker is in the line, which is made by boAt, called the boAt Stone 700A which is a highly portable, waterproof, shock-proof and dust-proof speaker with a battery life of eight hours. It comes with dual premium drivers, compact design, 360-degree surround, and a rechargeable battery. It will be available in two colours- Military Green and Rugged Black and will be priced at Rs.7,999, but as a part of introductory offer it will be available for a price of Rs. 4,000 on Amazon India.
MyBox Alexa Kit for the set-top box (STB) is a device from a different segment, which will let consumers have a push-to-talk access to Alexa from the mic button on their TV Set-top box (STB) remote. Using the device, users can use their STB to check the weather, get latest news, recipes, listen to their favourite music tracks from Amazon Prime Music, book Ola or Uber, check flight status, order food from Zomato, control smart home devices and engage more with visual display cards on TV. They can also enjoy the regular TV controls. To make enable Alexa on TV, users just need to plug in MyBox Alexa Kit to their existing MyBox set-top-box. The customers of these MSO’s can get the Alexa Kit via their LCO or can buy from Amazon India for Rs. 1,999.
