Huawei P20 and P20 Pro have been launched after the company unveiled the two new flagships at an event in Paris. Huawei P20 and P20 Pro come with an advanced camera system and carriers the smartphone design trend of 2018- A notch on the front. Though both of these phones are quite similar, the Huawei P20 Pro is the higher variant and hence it comes with a triple camera system.
The Huawei P20 sports a 5.8-inch screen, while the Huawei P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen and while the P20 Pro has an OLED display, the P20 has an RGBW screen. However, the resolution is same i.e. 2,240 x 1,080 pixels, has no bezels on either side of the display, and both of the displays have an aspect ratio of 18:9. Both of these phones come in four colors- Black, Midnight Blue, Pink gold, and Twilight.
The Huawei P20 and P20 are powered by the company’s own Kirin 970 octa-core processor with a focus on AI. Huawei P20 series features a dedicated Neural Processing Unit on Kirin 970 for all the AI-based features. The P20 comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the Huawei P20 Pro comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Both of these run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Huawei’s own EMUI 8.1 on top. Huawei has said that with the help of AI, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro can identify more than 500 scenarios in 19 categories. Both smartphones will also support Google’s ARCore for advanced augmented reality capabilities. The Huawei P20 packs a 3400mAh battery while the P20 Pro packs a larger 4000mAh battery with support for wireless charging.

The Huawei P20 and the P20 Pro has a special emphasis on camera. And as per DXOMark, the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are rated higher than the Galaxy S9+ and the Google Pixel 2. Huawei P20 Pro is a pioneer when it comes to the triple camera system, as it features a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP monochrome sensor and an 8MP sensor with a telephoto lens, which is the highest level of different sensor combination right now. The Huawei P20 Pro also comes with a color temperature sensor for better color reproduction.

The camera sensors have an aperture of f/1.8, f/1.6 and f/2.4 respectively. The phone also has a new Leica 3x telephoto lens for long-range photography with up to 5x Hybrid Zoom. The Huawei P20 also has a Leica dual camera featuring a 12MP lens with 1.55 μm pixel size and a 20MP monochrome lens. Both of these phones have six-axis stabilization and 960fps super-slow-motion video capability. In terms of front-facing camera, both smartphones have a 24MP selfie camera with AI beautification and 3D portrait lighting.

As of now, as per the latest reports, the Huawei P20 will start at a price of €649 (₹52,000 approx.) while the Huawei P20 Pro will be priced at €899 (₹72,000 approx.). However, Huawei has made no comments regarding the pricing and launch date in India yet, but it is expected that they will launch the phones in India soon.
