HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, today announced the availability of the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 plus and new Nokia 6 for the Indian market. These award-winning new Android One Nokia smartphones were introduced at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona this February and now these are available in India. Along with this three new phones, Nokia Phones Shop has been introduced which will be an exclusive online store for Nokia phones and accessories.

Nokia stated that each of these new smartphones will offer durability and reliability as standard while maintaining security and convenience by providing the latest version of the Android OS along with security patches. Now let’s take a look at all these phones from Nokia.

Nokia 8 Sirocco

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is Nokia’s flagship running the Android 8.0 Oreo and sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) pOLED display with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. In terms of camera, the Nokia 8 sports a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor as its primary rear camera with a f/1.75 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels, along with a 13-megapixel telephoto lens capable of providing 2x optical zoom, and having an a2.6 aperture, and 1-micron pixels. The camera module features Zeiss Optics and dual tone LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel with fixed focus, f/2.0 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels. There is 128GB of inbuilt storage on the Nokia 8 Sirocco, but there is no microSD card. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery and is available in black color.

Starting from April 20, 2018 customers can pre-book the Nokia 8 Sirocco from Nokia phones shop, Flipkart and select retail outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma and Reliance where the phone would go on sale starting from April 30, 2018.

Along with the Nokia 8 Sirocco purchase, there are offers like 20GB additional data on each of the first 6 recharges of Rs 199 or Rs 349 for Airtel prepaid customers while the Airtel postpaid customers can avail the additional 20GB per month on the Rs 399 or Rs 499 plan for 6 months. Airtel customers will also get an extended free subscription to the Airtel TV app up to December 31, 2018, and ICICI bank will offer a 5% cashback up to May 31, 2018. MakeMyTrip will offer 25% instant discount on domestic hotel bookings and customers will also get no cost EMI on major credit cards and Bajaj Finserv. Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at Rs. 49,999.

Nokia 7 Plus

The Nokia 7 Plus is a midrange phone from Nokia, sporting a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, which matches the current trend and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Nokia 7 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Just like the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the Nokia 7 Plus also has a 12-megapixel wide-angle primary camera with a f/1.75 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels, accompanied by a 13-megapixel camera with a f/2.6 aperture, 1-micron pixels, and 2x optical zoom, while in terms of selfies and video calling, the Nokia 7 Plus sports a 16-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels, and Zeiss optics. The Nokia 7 Plus has 64GB of inbuilt storage, and there is a microSD slot via which the storage can be expanded up to 256GB. The phone packs a 3800mAh battery with fast charging and is available in two colors- Black/Copper and White/Copper.

The Nokia 7 Plus is priced at Rs. 25,999 and just like the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the consumers can pre-book their Nokia 7 plus starting April 20, 2018 from Nokia phones shop, Amazon.in and select retail outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma, and Reliance while the sale will start from April 30.

Airtel customers can enjoy a cashback offer of Rs 2000 on the Nokia 7 Plus and get the smartphone at an effective price of just Rs. 23,999 as a part of Airtel’s ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ initiative. Airtel customers will also get an extended free subscription to the Airtel TV app until December 31, 2018. Additionally, consumers will get 25% instant discount on domestic hotels at MakeMyTrip. All Nokia 7 plus consumers will also be eligible for a complimentary 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify on opening the Kotak 811 savings account and activating it. The Nokia 7 plus will be available at zero cost EMI on credit cards and through Bajaj FinServ and Home Credit and ICICI bank will offer a 5% cashback until May 31, 2018.

Nokia 6 (2018)

The Nokia 6 (2018) is an improved variant of the Nokia 6, that packs better hardware while carrying an affordable price tag. The Nokia 6 (2018) runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The phone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, coupled with 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. In terms of camera, there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, a f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels, dual-tone LED flash and Zeiss optics. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel fixed focus camera with a f/2.0 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. The Nokia 6 (2018) comes in two storage variants- 32GB and 64GB, also on both the variants there is a microSD slot using which the storage can be expanded up to 128GB. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery and is available in two color variants- Black/Copper and White/Copper.

The Nokia 6 (2016) arrives a bit earlier than others. Starting April 6, 2018, consumers can purchase the Nokia 6 (2018) from Nokia phones shop and leading mobile stores across the country including outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma, and Reliance. Airtel Customers can enjoy a cashback of Rs 2000 on Nokia 6 and own the smartphone at an effective price of Rs. 14,999 and get other benefits like an extended free subscription to the Airtel TV app till December 31, 2018. Additionally, consumers will get 25% instant discount on domestic hotel bookings at MakeMyTrip.
