Vivo, the Chinese smartphone giant, today launched the Vivo Y71 in India. The phone comes with an 18:9 FullView Display and super narrow bezels, and a screen-to-body ratio of 84.4%. The Vivo Y71 is priced at Rs. 10,990 and will be available in stores starting from 14th April 2018 and will also be available online on the Vivo E-store, Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm Mall starting from 16th April 2018.

Commenting on the launch of Vivo Y71, the latest phone from Vivo’s Y Series, Kenny Zheng, CMO, Vivo India said, “Vivo has always crafted its products keeping consumers preference at the core. With the launch of Y71, we are releasing a smartphone which is large on display and performance, and is coupled with enhanced camera capabilities.

The new Vivo Y71 offers 18:9 FullView Display with super narrow bezels and Vivo has claimed that, when compared to phones having a display with 16:9 aspect ratio, the Y71 can show 12.5% more content, while managing a compact profile. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y71 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Vivo has claimed that the camera optimizes lighting on the subject’s facial features to take vibrant, crystal-clear photos even in low light conditions. Also, the 5-megapixel selfie camera comes equipped with an AI Face Beauty feature, which allows users to take clear and detailed selfies in any lighting condition. The AI Face Beauty can identify gender, age, skin tone and texture to apply a range of beauty effects.

The Vivo Y71 comes with Face Access which intelligently scans the facial features and unlocks the device. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and packs a 3360mAh battery. The smartphone will be available two color variants- Gold and Matte Black.
