Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has expanded its Y Series of smartphones again. This time, the Y Series has got its first 5G Phone, the Vivo Y72. It is already available for purchase in India.

The Vivo Y72 features a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and there is a waterdrop style notch at the top that houses the front-facing camera. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. However, the extended RAM feature extends the RAM further up to an additional 4GB for smooth multitasking.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y72 sports a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture, accompanied by and a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. The camera app on Vivo Y72 is packed with various features and camera models like Super Night Mode, Personalized Portraits, Face Beauty for Video Calls, and Super HDR.
The Vivo Y72 packs a massive 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. As mentioned earlier, the phone offers 5G connectivity. However, other standard connectivity options are also present on the device, including 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C for charging and data transfer.
The Vivo Y72 has been priced at ₹20,999 for the sole variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. However, customers get to choose between two color variants- Prism Magic and Slate Grey. The phone is available for purchase via Amazon India, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store, and the Vivo India e-store. Launch offers include a ₹1,500 cashback through HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Bank credit card and EMI transactions, a one-time screen replacement at ₹999 for six months, and Jio benefits worth Rs. 10,000. No-cost EMI options for up to 12 months are also available on purchase of Vivo Y72.
