Motorola has today announced its latest smartphone in India- Moto G 5G. This is another smartphone from Motorola’s infamous G-Series. But this time, there are no multiple variants, rather it’s a new beginning as Moto G 5G, as per the name is Motorola’s first 5G smartphone in India. It is also the most affordable 5G phone in the country with a price tag of just ₹20999.

Moto G 5G is also the first smartphone in India that is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone features a 6.7-inch Max Vision HDR10 display with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and a punch-hole camera placed right in the middle.

The Moto G 5G supports 11 global 5G network bands that means it can hook up with any Sub 6 5G band that is launched in India. It also comes with 4X4 MIMO & Carrier Aggregation Support ensuring blazing-fast network performance.

In terms of camera, the Moto G 5G has a triple camera setup on the back. There is a 48-megapixel main sensor with quad-pixel technology that ensures better light sensitivity while the larger f/1.7 aperture ensures that the sensor can gather more light to capture clear shots under low light. Along with the main sensor, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 118º. There is also a 2-megapixel macro lens to capture close up shots of subjects.

On Moto G 5G, the Night Vision mode is there for both the rear and the front-facing camera so that more details can be captured even under low lighting conditions. There is a 16-megapixel punch-hole camera with an f/2.25 aperture. The front-facing camera has many modes and features like Auto Smile Capture, Portrait Mode, HDR, Burst Shot, Best Shot, Photo Mirror, Timer, Active Photo, Live Filter, RAW Photo Output, Spot Color, and more. It can also capable of shooting Timelapse & Hyperlapse video.

Moto G 5G, like all other Motorola phones, offers a near-Stock Android experience. The Moto G 5G runs Android 10 out of the box and it is guaranteed to receive an upgrade to Android 11. There is no bloatware or ads on this phone. However, the much appreciated Moto Actions and gestures are there. Moto G 5G is IP52 rated so that as per the claims by Motorola, users can take it out while going for a run or while making a call in rain.

Moto G 5G packs a huge 5000mAh battery and it supports 20W TurboPower fast charging. The phone also offers NFC, making it possible for users to make contactless payments and transfer files wirelessly between devices. On the left edge of the phone, there is an easy-to-locate textured button that users can press to activate Google Assistant.

The new Moto G 5G will be available in two color variants- Volcanic Grey and Frosted Silver. The phone will go on sale starting 7th December, from 12 noon onwards, exclusively on Flipkart. As mentioned earlier, the Moto G 5G comes with a price tag of just ₹20999. However, there is an instant discount worth ₹1000 on HDFC Bank Credit Cards and Credit & Debit card EMI transactions. So, consumers can get the phone at an effective price of ₹19999.
