Amazon has launched the new Echo Flex in India. Echo Flex is a smart speaker that fits anywhere in the house and can draw power from any power outlet. This means that with Echo Flex, consumers don’t need to worry about extra wires and chargers anymore. Echo Flex still retains the most important features of any Echo device i.e. controlling any compatible smart home devices using voice and getting help from Alexa.

Commenting on the launch of the product, Parag Gupta, Head of Amazon Devices, said, “We are happy to introduce Echo Flex for users in India to access Alexa even more conveniently now from any room in the house. Our customers are looking for more options on where they can place Echo devices across their homes. We heard them. With its compact form, Echo Flex can be plugged in directly into an electrical socket to provide all functionalities of an Echo device.”

All-new Echo Flex plugs into any standard electrical outlet so that you can set it up in a hallway or even in your bathroom. Then you can control compatible smart home devices like you can configure it to switch on the lights as you enter the home or turn off the AC as you leave the room. Echo Flex works with devices such as smart lights and plugs from brands including Philips, SYSKA LED, Oakter, TP-Link and more. Using Echo Flex, making announcements on other Echo devices is also possible. You can connect Echo Flex to any other speakers using Bluetooth or via a 3.5mm AUX cable.

Echo Flex also comes with a USB-A port, so it doubles up as a power bank with an infinite charge cycle.
