Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has added yet another device to their U Series- The all-new Vivo U20. Following the successful launch of U10, this is the second phone under Vivo’s new U-Series. The Vivo U20 starts at Rs. 10,990 and comes with exciting features. Like all the Vivo phones, the Vivo U0 is also manufactured at the company’s Greater Noida Facility in India.

Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “After the great response that we received for U10 in India, we are excited to announce our second offering under the U-series portfolio; the Vivo U20 that will offer a superior experience. This new unstoppable performer will incorporate a differentiated offering at great value, and offer best in class features in the sub-12k category that we believe will be a great fit for the discerning Indian audience.”

The Vivo U20 sports a tall 6.53-inch full HD+ Halo Fullview display. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 clocked at 2.0GHz, coupled with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 storage. However, there are two variants based on RAM- 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+64GB storage. However, there is also the option to expand storage using a microSD card. The phone also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back.

In terms of camera, the Vivo U20 offers a triple camera setup on the back where the primary sensor is the Sony IMX499, which is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. There is also the 8-megapixel wide-angle lens which can offer a field of view of up to 120°. Additionally, there is a 2-megapixel Super Macro lens for taking shots of very close objects. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The Vivo U20 is a powerhouse at this price segment as the phone comes with a huge 5000mAh battery and the phone supports fast charging. Vivo also includes an 18W fast charger inside the box. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9.2 on top and connectivity features of the phone include Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz+5Ghz), Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with support for OTG and Navigation with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou.

The Vivo U2 is available in two colour variants- Racing Black and Blaze Blue. The 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 10,990 and the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 11,990. The phone will go on sale in India on Amazon and Vivo India E-Store starting from 28th November, 12 noon onwards.
