New Lenovo Legion Laptops Y740 & Y540 With Nvidia GeForce RTX Launched

At an event in Delhi, Lenovo has launched new laptops under its gaming-focused Legion Series. The two laptops launched are Legion Y540 and Legion Y740. Both these laptops are powered by 9th Gen Intel Core CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX. At the event, new accessories, displays, and gaming desktops were also introduced.

It’s a great platform for the next generation of gamers to gather, compete and network with each other. It is also a chance for us to engage them and ensure that the Legion brand is evolving with their needs. The results have exceeded our wildest expectations and we look forward to taking esports to the next level in India.”

The Lenovo Legion Y740 is made of precisely machined aluminum and anodized in a sophisticated Iron Gray color with narrow borders. It comes with fully customizable RGB lighting for the keyboard as well as inside the thermal venting. It houses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-0 GPU for the ultimate gaming performance. There is Dolby Vision-enabled displays and Dolby Atmos Speaker System onboard, with Dolby Sound Radar. It is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM, which is again expandable up to 32GB. The Legion Y740 has must features for gamers, like playing games in 4K, HDR screenshots and much more. The Lenovo Legion Y740 is also available in variants where users can pick a 144Hz Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display that has optional NVIDIA G-SYNC.

The Legion Y540 is another laptop that is being claimed to offer desktop-grade gaming experience on the move. It packs the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6G GDDR6 GPU, sports a 15-inch IPS Anti-glare Full HD display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and 300 nits of brightness. This one also has a powerful 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM and up to 1 TB SSD. The Lenovo Legion Y540 comes with Harman Kardon’s speakers and supports Dolby Atmos. Lenovo claims that both these new laptops are now more powerful and comes with an upgraded battery over their predecessors, lasting up to six hours.

The Legion Y740 starts at a price of Rs 1,29,990 while the Legion Y540 starts at Rs. 69,990, making it an ideal choice for those who are looking for a power-packed gaming laptop at a low budget. At the event, the company also unveiled the T730 & T530 desktops, M500 RGB gaming mouse, K500 RGB mechanical keyboard and HSO0 & H300 stereo gaming headsets. The new products under Legion range are available across Lenovo.com, leading e-tailers and the Lenovo stores across India.
