Global Consumer Electronics giant LG has launched the much-anticipated range of televisions in India featuring Artificial Intelligence (AI) ThinQ. LG has introduced the Google Assistant on its Smart TVs early this year. Now, LG has offered more choices and options with the addition of Amazon Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2 capabilities to its 2019 TVs with ThinQ AI. LG has launched new models under various series i.e. SMART, LED, UHD, NanoCell and OLED AI ThinQ Televisions.
The new range of TVs from LG is powered with the most powerful and advanced second-generation α (Alpha) 9 Gen 2 intelligent processor with deep learning technology, which lets the TV learn users preferences. It can also optimize the images by recognizing source quality and implementing the best algorithm to display lifelike images. It can also analyze ambient conditions and adjust the brightness levels for the optimal results. The α 9 Gen 2 also fine-tunes audio according to the content type, making the movie and TV dialogue easier to understand and delivers crisp, clear vocals in songs. The new lineup of LG Smart TVs also supports the full palette of HDR, including Dolby Vision, with cinematic experience along with Technicolor, HDR10 Pro, HLG Pro HDR and Dolby Atmos for realistic, immersive audio.

LG’s 2019 OLED TV lineup allows users to take voice control one step further with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With this, LG became the only TV brand to offer both leading AI platform support without any additional hardware. The new lineup of TVs can understand hundreds of voice commands and handle more complex commands. Users can use Alexa Routines to control smart lighting, reporting on the weather, or listening to daily horoscope using skills like GaneshaSpeaks by simply saying ‘Alexa, start my morning.’ They can also play music or listen to audio books and take advantage of over 20,000 Alexa Skills already available on the Alexa Skill Store. Users can instantly connect to external gaming consoles and soundbars by saying, ‘Alexa, Connect to soundbar’ or switch to picture mode by saying ‘Alexa, Change to Cinema Mode’ or even turn the TV off at set times.
Along with Alexa, the built-in Google Assistant makes it possible for users to choose their favourite shows, ask questions, and also control compatible smart home devices. With the help of both Google and Alexa, users can now have the experience from the best of both worlds and control many more compatible smart home devices.
The new LG NanoCell TV is another phenomenal addition to the TV viewing experience offering crisper pictures and vibrant colours. NanoCell TV comes embedded with state-of-art features such as Nano Color with Full Array Dimming, Nano Accuracy, and Nano Bezel. The last OLED TVs from LG and selected NanoCell TVs will also support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. The all-new LG AI ThinQ TVs’ sizes start from 80 cms (32-inch) to 195 cms (77-inch) and the price range is between Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 10,99,990. The Built-in Alexa and Google Assistant are available in LG UHD TVs, NanoCell TVs, and OLED TVs.
