HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones has launched the all-new Nokia 7.1 in India. The phone will go on sale starting December 7, 2018, and will be available across top mobile retailers in India and on Nokia.com/phones. The new Nokia 7.1 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and comes with the latest and great from Google, Android Pie.

The new Nokia 7.1 is the first smartphone to come with PureDisplay screen technology for stunning HDR10 cinematic quality entertainment. Users can now enjoy great HDR content on YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime with great clarity and a very high contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Also, the display adapts in any kind of lighting conditions, providing great detail in the Full HD+ 5.84-inch panel with a screen aspect of 19:9.

This works even for non-HDR content, which is up-scaled in real-time using a dedicated 16-bit engine, processing millions of pixels per second to provide the best possible display quality in all conditions. In terms of hardware, the Nokia 7.1 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform, coupled with 4GB of RAM, providing a fast and fluid user experience and enabling support for HDR content along with great battery efficiency. The phone comes with USB type-C fast charging port and the phone gets charged up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 7.1 comes with ZEISS Optics consisting of a 12MP and a 5MP lens on the back with 2PD providing fast, accurate autofocus for the best possible shots while on the front, there is an 8 MP lens with a f/2.0 aperture. The camera on the back of Nokia 7.1 comes with Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) technology ensuring smooth footage while in terms of audio, the phone provides a high fidelity 360° Nokia spatial audio. The camera app is redesigned, providing a new UI with useful controls of white balance, ISO, focus and shutter speed using the Pro Camera Mode. The Nokia 7.1 AI enhanced front-facing camera introduces facial recognition to deploy animated 3D personas, masks and filters.

Just like a few other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 7.1 belongs to the Android One family, delivering a high-quality software experience endorsed by Google. The phone has been upgraded to Android 9.0, the latest and greatest of Android from Google ensuring smooth user experience while ensuring security, making sure that users can keep a balance between their digital life and stay offline when they need a break. The Nokia 7.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches as guaranteed in the Android One programme.

The Nokia 7.1 comes in two color variants – Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel. The phone is priced at Rs. 19,999 and will go on sale from December 7. Launch offers with the phone includes 1TB of 4G data on eligible plans starting Rs. 199 for Airtel Prepaid customers and Airtel postpaid customers can enjoy additional data of 120GB along with three months of Netflix subscription and one year of Amazon Prime subscription on plans starting Rs. 499.
