Canon Inc. today announced the launch of the EOS 200D, the newest addition to the EOS DSLR range. The Canon EOS200D is an entry-level DSLR camera that comes with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, and the latest DIGIC 7 image processor.

With the latest DIGIC 7 image processor, the standard ISO speed reaches 25600, which helps in reducing motion blur caused by slow shutter speeds, which is often faced by users under low light conditions. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF aims to achieve fast focusing during Live View and movie shooting. The Live View Servo AF allows users to track the subject constantly and shoot at a continuous shooting speed of up to 3.5 frames per second (fps). Also, by adding a lens with Stepping Motor (STM) a quieter and smoother video footage can be obtained.

The Canon EOS 200D is equipped with a Vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor. The combination of Vari-angle LCD monitor and Dual Pixel CMOS AF further enables the EOS 200D users to capture 1080p videos at 60p.

There is also a Selfie Mode which aims towards background defocus, brightness and smooth skin effect. The camera body is designed to provide an enhanced grip and is overlaid with a grain finish. The Canon EOS 200D will be available in classic black and will be available at stores for sale from July onwards.

The Canon EOS200D also comes with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. The camera can also be controlled by using the Canon Camera Connect app, through which users can control the camera settings such as shutter speed, focus selection and self-timer and more.
