Today, consumer electronics giant LG has announced its new OLED TV lineup in India. LG first unveiled the new lineup of OLED TVs at CES 2022, and the lineup bagged a lot of praise. The new OLED lineup from LG for 2022 introduces the most extensive range of OLED TVs, starting from the world’s biggest 97-inch OLED TV to the world’s first 42-inch OLED TV, which is not just suitable for smaller spaces and ideal for every gamer. As a pioneer and global leader in OLED technology, LG has also introduced the first rollable OLED TV, the LG Signature R OLED, and more.

Hak Hyun Kim, Director- Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India, said, “This year marks 25 years of our commitment to the Indian market, demonstrating our continuous efforts to amalgamate technology and design innovations to meet the evolving needs of our consumers. The unique offerings of our latest lineup demonstrate our perseverance to deliver differentiated user experience and a new way of thinking about our consumer’s home entertainment space while once again confirming LG’s leadership in the premium TV market. OLED TV portfolio is expanded to address various segments of consumers and with our new line up we are confident of strengthening our market leadership in OLED TV.”

LG also introduced the new OLED Evo, which is a new feature of LG’s new α 9 Gen 5 intelligent processor and unique picture algorithms. LG Evo is available in the LG OLED G2 series (LG OLED Evo Gallery Edition) and C2 series. Using the new Brightness Booster Max technology, LG has claimed to have improved the brightness level up to 30% in the G2 series and 20% in the C2 series.

The G2 series is available in 139 cm (55) and 164 cm (65), with a refined Gallery Design, while LG’s C2 series offers the most screen sizes- the first-ever 106 cm (42), 246cm (97), 210 cm (83), 195cm (77), 164 cm (65), 139 cm (55) and 121 cm (48).

The new G2, C2, and Z2 series models of OLED TVs from LG are powered by LG’s α9 Gen 5 processor, offering Dynamic Tone-mapping Pro Algorithm, AI Sound Pro feature, and allows the TVs to up-mix 2-channel audio to a virtual 7.1 sound. LG also introduced the new B2 OLED TV series in two screen sizes- 164cm (65) and 139cm (55). There is also the A2 series in three screen sizes- 164 cm (65), 139 cm (55), and 121 cm (48). The B2 and A2 series of OLED TVs are powered by LG’s self-lit technology, α7 Gen 5 processor with Dynamic Tone-mapping, AI Sound Pro, and virtual 5.1 surround sound.

The new OLED TVs run the latest webOS 22, with several new personalization options, including customizable user profiles and content services. webOS 22 also lets users mirror their favorite content via Wi-Fi from one TV to another in their home. The new lineup also focuses a lot on picture quality and remains the benchmark.

LG’s latest OLEDs are the first TVs to adopt Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, unlocking additional features from Dolby Vision content from sources like Netflix, Disney+, Hotstar, and more. The new LG OLED TVs also deliver Dolby Atmos spatial sound through their speaker system to offer an immersive audio experience to users.

The LG OLED TVs were the first TVs to be Nvidia G-Sync certified. The latest LG OLED TVs bring display presets for various game genres and a sports mode, apart from the already available options of first-person shooter, role-playing, and real-time strategy. The new LG OLED TVs will also incorporate a Dark Room Mode, when activated, it will adjust the picture’s brightness while maintaining the highlights and picture quality of the games to reduce strain on the eyes.

The new OLED TV lineup from LG starts at ₹89,990, and LG’s Rollable OLED TV is priced at ₹7,500,000.

  2. LG is innovative company, but it’s lacks long term durability and in Home Appliances and TVs, so is sony in TV sector. In longe term durability i still prefer Samsung in TV’s, and a bunch of Home appliances
