Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has expanded its Vivo V series once again by introducing the all-new Vivo V21e smartphone in India. The new Vivo V21e is a phone that’s future-ready but comes with a sleek design. The Vivo V21e offers 5G connectivity, though a 4G variant is sold in Malaysia.

Commenting on the launch of V21e, Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India, said, “We are delighted to further expand our V21 series line-up in India with the launch of Vivo V21e. The smartphone is designed to make the latest technology accessible to customers as it truly offers something for varied smartphone users including class-leading design, latest camera innovation in cameras and 5G connectivity. It will enable users to express themselves in brand new ways.”

 

The new Vivo V21e 5G sports a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. There is a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie shooter. The phone is sleek, with just 7.67 mm thickness, and it weighs just 167 grams.

Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Like most other recent phones from Vivo, the Vivo V21e offers 3GB of extended virtual RAM. Though there is ample onboard storage, users also can expand the storage using a microSD card that they can pop into the hybrid slot.

Apart from 5G connectivity and the sleek and lightweight design, Vivo emphasized the camera on the phone. There is a dual-camera setup on the back of the phone. There is a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The camera app on the Vivo V21e is packed with various modes like slo-mo, time-lapse, pro mode, AR stickers, doc, double exposure. For stable footage, there is Electronic Image Stabilization as well.

Vivo V21e runs Android 11 out of the box with Vivo’s own FunTouch OS skin on top. As mentioned earlier, the phone supports 5G, and along with that, there are all the essential connectivity options like 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB-C for charging and data transfer. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, and as per the claims made by Vivo, the phone can be charged from 0% to 72% in half an hour.

The Vivo V21e is priced at ₹24,990 for the single variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. However, customers get to choose between two color options- Dark Pearl and Sunset Jazz. The phone is available for purchase on Vivo India E-store, Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Tatacliq, and Bajaj EMI Store. There are various launch offers like a flat ₹2,500 cashback with HDFC credit and debit cards on-time payment and EMI transactions. Customers can also get one Amazon voucher worth ₹1,000 on their purchase of the device from Amazon India. However, this offer is valid till June 30 only on the Vivo India E-store.
