Vivo recently refreshed its Funtouch OS. The new FunTouch OS is based on Android 12, and the custom skin from Vivo doesn’t get a significant design overhaul, which could be a bit disappointing to many. But, with the new FunTouch OS based on Android 12, there are core upgrades. The new FunTouch OS based on Android 12 kinda gets rid of bloatware as well. Though the company has not shared the complete list of devices to get Funtouch OS based on Android 12, Vivo has shared a list of devices confirmed to get the Android 12 Beta update. So, if a device is there on the list, it’s guaranteed that it will get the Android 12 update.

Devices Eligible for FunTouch OS based on Android 12

The list Vivo shared with us reveals that phones from Vivo’s X, Y, V, and S-series devices will be getting the update. The latest Vivo flagship, the Vivo X70 Pro+, is the first device to get the Android 12 Beta update by the end of November. In December, the Vivo X60 Pro+, Vivo X60 Pro, Vivo X60, Vivo V21, and Vivo Y72 5G will be getting the update.

In January 2022, Funtouch OS 12 Beta update will roll out to the Vivo X70 Pro, Vivo V21e, Vivo V20 2021, Vivo V20, Vivo Y21, Vivo Y51A, and Vivo Y31. In March 2022, the Vivo X50 Pro, Vivo X50, Vivo V20 Pro, Vivo V20 SE, Vivo Y33s, Vivo Y20G, Vivo Y53s, and Vivo Y12s will get the update, and in early April, Vivo S1 and Y19 will receive the update. Finally, the Vivo V17 Pro, V17, S1 Pro, Y73, Y51, Y20, Y20i & Y30 will get the new Android 12 beta update by the end of April 2022.

So, Vivo’s X-Series is the one that’s ahead in the race of updates and some of the devices from V-Series and Y-Series are quite late to get even the FunTouch OS Beta based on Android 12. What do you think about this roadmap by Vivo? Let us know via the comments below.
