Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has introduced the all-new Vivo Y12s in India. With the launch of Vivo Y12s, Vivo has once again expanded its Y-series of smartphones. Vivo says that Y stands for ‘Youthful’ and the new Vivo Y12s packs a big battery with power-saving features that will make the phone last longer.

Commenting on the launch, Nipun Marya, Director- Brand Strategy, Vivo India said, “The youthful Y series by Vivo has always been about our commitment to fulfilling the consumer needs for innovative features that meets the specific requirements in different price brackets. The Y12s is yet another effort from Vivo to continue offering convenient features like reverse charging with 5000mAh battery and capable AI Dual Camera with Bokeh mode at a reasonable price point. The Y-series line-up reiterates Vivo’s efforts to make technology accessible with leading camera capabilities, premium design, and seamless experience to the consumers.”

 

Like all other phones from Vivo, the Vivo Y12s is also manufactured at the company’s facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Vivo Y12s feature a very slim profile and there is a 6.51-inch Halo FullView HD+ display on the front with a waterdrop style notch that houses the front-facing camera. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. 

The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P35 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. In terms of camera, the phone comes with a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a primary 13-megapixel camera along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits.

Connectivity options on the phone are pretty standard with 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, micro USB, etc. Vivo Y12s packs a huge 5000mah battery with up to 10W charging. The phone is available in two color variants- Phantom Black and Glacier Blue. Vivo Y12s is priced at ₹9990 and is available for purchase via Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, and across all partner retail stores.
