Today Amazon introduced the all-new Kindle in India that comes with a front light. Now, readers can adjust the display brightness to read comfortably in even more places- whether indoors at night or outside in the sun. The all-new Kindle also includes an updated design and the latest electronic ink technology which results in better contrast. The all-new Kindle comes in black or white and is available for pre-order today on Amazon. Customers who pre-order the device on or before April 9 will get their first eBook free. Amazon will also offer a two-year Device Total protection plan worth ₹1,199 to them at no additional cost.

Commenting on the new Kindle, Jayshree Gururaj, Director – Amazon Devices, said, “Customers who have used the front light on the Kindle Paperwhite and Oasis appreciate being able to read their favourite books in bright sunlight as well as dark surroundings,” she further added, “We are excited to announce that we have now brought the built-in adjustable front light feature to our all-new Kindle along with other classic features that customers love for just ₹7,999”.

The all-new Kindle provides a comfortable reading experience with no distractions, it features a glare-free display with laser-quality text that’s easy to read. The new adjustable front light makes it even more comfortable to read in a variety of places. However, there is no compromise with battery life as Amazon has claimed that the new Kindle’s battery will last for weeks. The all-new Kindle also includes updated electronic ink technology for better contrast, and the 6-inch display now uses capacitive touch to prevent accidental swipes. All these new features are packed while keeping the design fresh, lightweight and sleek so that one-handed usage is never a problem for anyone.

The all-new Kindle comes with Amazon’s newest reading features. Now, when you finish a book, it will automatically be marked as read in your library and synced across your reading devices including Kindle and the free Kindle apps for iOS and Android. With just a few taps, you can filter to see which books you’ve read and which you haven’t, so organizing your library has never been easier. The new home experience is present with great recommendations, based on reading history, including new and trending titles. These features will be delivered as a free, over-the-air update to the all-new Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite Gen 6 (released in 2013), and newer devices in the coming months.

This device is now the newest member of the Kindle family, that includes Kindle Paperwhite, which features a high-resolution, 300 PPI display with a flush-front design and waterproofing, and Kindle Oasis, which includes a 7-inch, high-resolution display, waterproofing, and an ergonomic design. The all-new Kindle is priced at ₹7,999 and available for pre-order today on Amazon India. It will start shipping on April 10. Covers worth just ₹1,499 are also available in attractive colours- Charcoal Black, Sandstone White, Cobalt Blue, and Punch Red. These covers are thin, snap perfectly onto your device, and are made of woven fabric in a variety of colours.
