Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has launched their new phone the Vivo Y83, under its Y series of the product portfolio. The phone is priced at Rs.14,990 and it will be available on e-commerce sites like Flipkart and Amazon and as well as on Vivo’s e-store. It is available via retail stores starting from today.
Commenting on the launch, Jerome Chen, CMO, Vivo India said, “Vivo is committed towards introducing innovative products to meet the ever-changing demands of consumers. We are pleased to introduce the Vivo Y83 in our Y series product portfolio with an outstanding performance and superior camera capabilities at an ideal price point.”
The new Vivo Y83 features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 which offers an increased viewing area of 15.5%, when compared with standard 16:9 aspect ratio smartphones. In terms of camera, the Vivo Y83 sports a 13MP single rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, while on the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera, powered by AI Face Beauty feature which detects the subject’s gender, age, skin tone, skin texture and lighting environment and adjusts the photo automatically.
The Vivo Y83 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. However, the storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, as well as, the Face Unlock feature which lets users unlock the phone quickly and provides convenience. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top and packs a 3260 mAh battery.
The all-new Vivo Y83 is now available in two color variants – Black and Gold. And the company is providing attractive exchange offers and no costs EMIs to customers who grab this phone.
