Arnold Su, National BDM, PC & Gaming, Systems Business, & David Chu, Country Product Manager, Asus India unveil their latest ROG STRIX GL503 series in India

Today at an event in Delhi, ASUS has unveiled the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR and HERO Edition of gaming laptops as well as the Strix GL503, under their ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand in India and the ASUS Gaming series FX503 was also launched along with the gaming laptops. While the ROG Strix SCAR Edition is built exclusively for FPS games like Counter-Strike & Overwatch, the HERO Edition is all about the Optimized performance to deliver a competitive edge in MOBA games such as Dota 2. The ASUS ROG Strix GL503 a lightweight notebook with a 15.6-inch display and ASUS Gaming FX503 is one of the latest, mainstream and affordable gaming notebook, which performs well in the game, despite being lightweight.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar Edition is powered by Intel Core i7 processors, along with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Series GPU and it features a display having a standard refresh rate of 144Hz, optimal for FPS gaming. It sports a desktop-style keyboard layout, N-key rollover and fast-actuating keys. ASUS claimed that the panel ensures 60%-brighter visuals than low-end IPS panels from other players in the market and also revealed that, soon Strix SCAR Edition will be available with up to 120Hz display with a 5ms response time.

The ASUS ROG Strix Hero Edition is also powered by an Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics, and runs Windows 10. However, it comes with a 120Hz wide-view IPS display when compared to Scar Edition’s 144Hz display. The IPS display delivers a wide 100% sRGB color gamut, providing consistent light intensity, improved contrast, color accuracy, and fidelity and it also enables viewing at extreme angles of up to 178° vertically and horizontally. The laptop comes with a desktop-style keyboard, with N-key rollover, and a 20-million-key-press lifetime.

Along with these two new E-Sports dedicated laptops, ASUS also unveiled the ROG Strix GL503 laptop which is a 15.6-inch lightweight laptop. ROG Strix GL503 features four hotkeys and four customizable RGB-backlit zones. The Asus Gaming FX503 is another mainstream gaming notebook launched today that comes with Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. ASUS has claimed that the intelligent dual fan cooling design helps in graphic intense gaming without throttling.

The ASUS Gaming series FX503 will be available at a starting price of INR 69990 while the ASUS ROG Strix HERO Edition, SCAR Edition and  Strix GL503 will be available at a starting price of INR 92990. All these new gaming notebooks and E-Sports centric laptops will be available from December 20 across online and offline retail partners and distributors.
