Google Daydream View VR headset is now officially available in India, for a price tag of Rs. 6,499. It was launched in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany last year and now in India, it will be available on Flipkart with offers like 5% off using Axis Bank Buzz card or up to Rs. 300 cashback if you pay using the PhonePe app. That’s not all- First 30 customers Google Daydream View buyers will get a Google Chromecast for free, while the first 50 customers will get Google Play Store Credit worth Rs. 500.

The Google Daydream View is made up of a lightweight fabric for a comfortable fit and feel. It comes with a controller, that lets you interact with the virtual world. The Daydream app houses a collection of apps and games for Daydream-ready phones. The list includes apps like YouTube VR app will let you watch 3D or standard 360-degree videos, Street View app lets you tour over 150 popular real-world places and Play Movies offers VR-ready movies. Third-party developers are also working on providing Daydream ready content through their apps.

Use Street View to see curated tours of over 150 of the world’s most amazing places like the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal, fly over a city, stand at the top of the highest peaks, and even soar into space.  Step inside a virtual gallery and view masterpieces from over 50 world-renowned museums with Arts & Culture. With Play Movies, users can watch shows and films on their own personal big-screen. And Google Photos displays your 360° captures in a whole new way.

Apps and games on Google Daydream-  The Daydream apps include NYT VR, Guardian VR, The Turning Forest, Labster: World of Science, Netflix VR, Google Play Movies, Within, Fantastic Beasts, The Arcslinger, Wonderglade, Mekorama VR, Gunjack 2: End of Shift, Need for Speed No Limits VR, LEGO BrickHeadz Builder VR and many more.

Pixel and Pixel XL are the first phones to support Google Daydream View VR, but it is now available for Moto Z users as well and soon the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will get the Daydream VR support. The Google Daydream controller is your ‘Elder Wand’ to enter into the magical world of VR- swing it, wave it and everything is at your fingertips with precise control.

Commenting on the launch,  Clay Bavor, Vice President of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality at Google said, “Daydream View promises users a mesmerizing experience. Swim with a pod of dolphins, stand at the edge of a volcano and even visit Pluto with Daydream View. Users can teleport from virtually anywhere to pretty much everywhere. Our aim is to make the VR experience mobile so that customers can easily carry it anywhere with them. We at Google are also working with developers, smartphone companies, and content creators to make VR accessible to all.”

As of now, Google Pixel owners and Moto Z owners can buy the Google Daydream View VR right now and step into the virtual reality world, also, those who have bought the recently launched Galaxy S8 and S8+ will also be able to enjoy the benefits of Daydream very soon.
