Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has added a new lineup of smartphones to its portfolio- S Series. The company has launched the all-new Vivo S1, which is the first phone under the lineup. As per the company, the S-series is a true reflection of the latest style blended with innovative technology.

Commenting on the launch Mr. Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, vivo India said, “The new ‘S’ series will be a strong addition to our dynamic product portfolio. ‘S’ stands for style and we have conceptualized the all new series for the stylish and aspirational youth. vivo S1, our first offering in the S-series will add new dimension to our customers’ style quotient and allow them to experience splendid camera performance.”

The Vivo S1 has a couple of highlights that make the phone stand out in the crowd. The Vivo S1 features a Halo FullView™ 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner on the phone for fast and secure access.

The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P65 (MT6768) octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB onboard storage. However, the storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The phone supports dual Nano-SIM cards.

In terms of camera, the Vivo S1 has a triple rear camera setup on the back that includes a 16-megapixel Sony IMX499 Sensor primary sensor with an /f1.78 aperture, 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Rear camera has features like HDR, Live photo, PDAF, AI super wide-angle, portrait mode, AI portrait framing, Doc mode, Professional mode, AR Stickers, AI Face Beauty, Video Face Beauty, Time-Lapse, Slo-Mo, etc. whereas the front-facing camera has features like HDR, Live Photos, Panorama, Gender detection, Face Beauty, Bokeh, AR Stickers, Selfie Lighting, AI Face Beauty, and Video Face Beauty.

The Vivo S1 runs Android Pie out of the box with its own Funtouch OS 9 skin on top. The phone packs a large 4,500mAh battery. The Vivo S1 is priced at Rs. 17,990 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 18,990. The top variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 19,990. The Vivo S1 is available in two colour variants- Skyline Blue and Diamond Black. There are various launch offers, both offline and online.

Offline launch offers include benefits like 7.5% Cashback on HDFC Cards, up to Rs. 2,500 Paytm cashback coupons, benefits worth Rs. 10,000 on Reliance Jio. The device is available at Zero Down payment and attractive lowest EMI options with HDB Financial Services, IDFC First Bank, Bajaj Finserve, HDFC Bank and Home Credit.
