Amazon has introduced the all-new Kindle Paperwhite in India, featuring a thinner and lighter design, sleek flush-front display, and waterproofing. With the launch of the Kindle Paperwhite, for a limited time, users will get three months of Kindle Unlimited subscription for free on pre-orders. The all-new Kindle Paperwhite is up for pre-order at just ₹ 12,999 on Amazon and will start shipping November 14.

Commenting on the launch, Jayshree Gururaj, Director – Amazon Devices said, “Our gold standard for Kindle continues to be a piece of paper. We are constantly improving the design to help customers stay immersed in the story. Today, we are excited to bring even more premium features—like a thinner and lighter flush-front design, additional storage, waterproofing —to our most popular Kindle.”

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite features a sleek, flush-front design and a back made of soft, easy-to-grip material to make it comfortable while resting on hand. It features a 6-inch, high resolution 300 PPI display which displays crisp, laser-quality text that reads like real paper. It also includes five LEDs and an adjustable front light for a uniform, glare-free display in any setting, even under direct sunlight. The all-new Kindle Paperwhite is now waterproof and is IPX8 rated so that anyone can enjoy reading without the worry of spilling a cup of coffee. It is rated against immersion in up to two meters of fresh water for up to 60 minutes. It comes with 8GB storage, and for bookworms, there is also a 32 GB storage variant available.

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite is priced at ₹ 12,999 for the 8 GB WiFi model and ₹ 17,999 for the 32 GB model. The 32GB model also comes with 4G. Both models are available for pre-order today. The 8 GB model will ship from November 14 and the 32 GB model will ship in the coming months. Amazon will also provide 3 months of Kindle Unlimited subscription on preorders, along with a 2-year extended warranty for all pre-ordered devices.
