Toshiba, a global brand known for imaging and office products, seems to have thrown its hat into the market of smart TVs as well in India. The company has announced the launch of its range of QLED, Full Array UHD, and Smart TVs in India. Probably for the first time in India, Toshiba has committed to providing 4-years of warranty on panels of its 4K TVs.
Speaking at the launch, Rishi Tandon, COO Toshiba Televisions India said, “We are extremely elated to announce our next-generation Toshiba 4K televisions in India. As a reputed Global brand, our aim is to enhance the TV viewing experience of Indian consumers by offering bigger screen size televisions with ultimate technology in picture, sound, and AI-enabled smart features at pocket-friendly prices. Our televisions deliver a deeply immersive viewing experience, intensifying the impact of every on-screen thrill and adventure. With the AI-based viewing recommendations, we are certain that the users will enjoy streaming a wide variety of content as per their viewing habits on a big screen seamlessly.”
Toshiba has kept the pricing quite affordable as its range of TVs starts from ₹12990. However, the price range is quite huge as the top variant which is the 65-inch Premium UHD U79, is priced at ₹66990. The 32-inch HD ready model is priced at ₹12990 while the full HD model with a 43-inch display is priced at ₹22490. These models are powered by Vidaa OS based on Android for smart features.
The 4K range from Toshiba is particularly larger comprising of a total of five different variants. The base model with a 43-inch 4K panel is priced at ₹27990, while the 50-inch and 55-inch models are priced at ₹32990 and ₹36990 respectively. This series of smart TVs come with 4K panels with very thin bezels for a minimalist look with Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos. Apart from smart functionalities that you expect from a smart TV, this range of TVs comes with Alexa built-in.
There is another more premium series of smart TVs, offering bigger 4K displays measuring 55 inches and 65 inches, priced at ₹46990 and ₹66990. Apart from all the bells and whistles similar to the previous lineup, TVs from this series come with Full Array Local Dimming, Wide Colour Gamut, MEMC, and everything else that you get in the base models of 4K smart TVs.
The new range of Toshiba TVs is available for purchase from leading e-commerce portals in India including Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and TataCliQ. Also, on these platforms, 10 customers will be entitled to winning a 43-inch smart TV.
