Huawei Consumer Business Group, India today announced the all-new Huawei Y9 2019 in India. The Huawei Y9 2019 is Huawei’s latest offering and the company emphasizes on the point that it’s an ‘Entry-level Flagship Phone’ featuring a large display, 3D curved design, quad camera sensor and it also packs a powerful battery.

Huawei Y9 2019 features a large 6.5-inch full HD FullView IPS LCD display with a notch, offering a higher screen to body ratio. The display has a high contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a pixel density of 397 PPI. The display also offers an Eye Comfort Mode which reduces harmful blue light and digital strain. The Huawei Y9 2019 is powered by Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 710 processor with Turbo Boost, coupled with 4GB RAM. There is 64GB memory onboard, and also there is a dedicated microSD slot via which the memory can be expanded up to 256 GB. The Kirin 710 chipset on the phone works together with Huawei’s unique GPU Turbo technology which doubles the GPU efficiency and increases basic performance by 1.3x amplifying the gaming experience.
In the camera department, the phone shines with quad cameras. There is a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. While on the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and 2-micron pixels. On the front as well, there is a 2-megapixel sensor. The camera uses smart algorithms and machine learning to create 21 different category labels and helps to select the optimized background and adjusts all the parameters after analyzing the scene for more than 500 scenarios. There is AI-based stabilization as well and Hand-held Night Mode supporting 6-second long exposure. There is also the AI 3D lighting that lets users create different effects such as soft lighting, stage lighting, butterfly lighting, and split lighting.
The Huawei Y9 2019 packs a big 4000mAh battery and Huawei claims that the Kirin 710 chipset developed with the 12nm process will provide great power efficiency. The device comes with smart power consumption optimization with one-touch battery optimization. In terms of connectivity, the Huawei Y9 2019 comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. The phone is priced at Rs. 15,990 and it will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India, starting from January 15 midnight.
