Today Amazon has announced the Fire TV Stick 4K and the all-new Alexa Voice Remote in India. The Fire Stick 4K is Amazon’s most powerful streaming media stick and right now, as a combo pack the whole package will cost Rs. 5,999, while the standalone Alexa Voice Remote can also be purchased as a single remote for Rs. 1,999. The new Fire TV Stick is the gateway to 4K digital content, whereas the Alexa Voice Remote is something that lets users interact with the TV, find shows and movies using their voice.
Commenting on the launch, Marc Whitten, Vice President, Amazon Fire TV, said, “We’ve listened to our customers and pushed to deliver a higher performance Fire TV. The new quad-core processor delivers a fast and fluid experience and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ provides an amazing picture quality.” He also mentioned that it is a complete 4K solution that Amazon’s customers are looking for, all within a compact stick form factor. And as per his statement, the team at Amazon Fire TV invented an entirely new antenna technology and combined that with a powerful 802.11ac Wi-Fi to optimize for the best possible 4K UHD streaming experience, even in congested network environments.
