The main feature of Mi A1 that almost everyone is talking about a lot is the dual camera configuration, with wide-angle and telephoto lenses used to provide great results. There are two 12-MP sensors on the back along with LED flash. The two lenses on the back allow Mi A1 to calculate what is in the foreground and what is in the background, creating a depth-of-field effect that typically requires a DSLR lens to achieve, allowing the user to create photos of unparalleled clarity and color. For selfie lovers, the Mi A1 comes with an improved Beautify mode that makes selfies look more natural and it now works with the both the front 5MP camera as well as the 12MP dual rear camera.

The Mi A1 is Xiaomi’s first Android One phone, with a software experience designed by Google, offering users a simple, pure Android phone that stays fresh over time with OS upgrades. The Mi A1 is available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold. The phone is just 7.3mm thick and has rounded edges for a comfortable and firm grip. There is also a rear fingerprint sensor.

The Mi A1 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D 1080p full-HD curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone also boasts a 10v power amplifier for deeper lows and higher volumes, ensuring an immersive media experience. As we talked earlier, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor based on the 14nm manufacturing process, coupled with 4GB of RAM that is a tough player in terms of performance, but soft in case of consuming battery. The phone packs a 3080mAh battery. There is 64GB of storage onboard which can be expanded using the hybrid dual SIM cum microSD slot.

Priced at Rs. 14,999, the Mi A1 will be available nationwide starting 12 September via Mi.com and Flipkart at 12:00 noon. It will also be available at all Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores and Large Format Retail partner stores.
