After many teasers, leaks and all, HTC has finally made it official that their latest flagship is the HTC U11. The latest flagship from HTC comes with the Edge Sense feature bringing a completely new way of interaction with the phone. The HTC U11 will be made available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red color options and will be launched across the globe. Pricing in Europe starts from EUR 749 (Rs. 53,000 approx.) and in the US it’s USD 749 (Rs. 48,000 approx.). In both these regions, the phone is up for pre-order.

The HTC U11 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 quad-core processor clocked at 2.45GHz, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It runs the latest Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense skin on top. The phone features a 5.5-inch Quad HD 1440×2560 pixels Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 3D glass on both front and rear. There are two variants based on RAM/Internal storage- 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM. However, the HTC U11 supports microSD up to 2TB as well in case your run out of memory after shooting too much of 4K footage. The phone supports dual nano SIM cards. The fingerprint scanner houses under the home button itself.

Now let’s talk about something else. HTC Edge Sense is one of the notable features- It lets you launch an app, send texts. The squeeze gesture is customizable as well, you can configure it as per your needs. Short squeeze and squeeze and hold are gestures that can make the phone do different tasks. And these features will work even if you’re wearing a glove as Edge Sense works on actual pressure applied to the side of the device.

In the case of camera, the HTC U11 features a 12 Megapixel camera with 1.4-micron pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization and dual-LED flash. The camera is capable of ultra spread autofocus, slow-motion, and 4K video recording. The camera also has features like Face Detection, Pro mode, which lets you use the camera with manual control, 32-second long exposure, and RAW format support, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. The HTC U11 has a 16MP front camera with BSI sensor, full-HD recording. Front camera features include live make-up, auto selfie, voice selfie, HDR Boost, and Selfie Panorama.

The phone packs a 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer up to 24.5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time. The phone also comes with an extreme power saver and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Connectivity options on the HTC U11 include GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C , Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (supports both 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands) and NFC.

The HTC U11 looks like a matured decision as the phone has top-notch specs and features, great optics, and the phone is also IP67 water and dust resistant. The phone will give you the choice to choose from two AIs – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa (available in selected regions only).
