Gionee has launched it’s selfie-centric smartphone, the Gionee A1 in India a while back and Gionee has just pushed an OTA (Over The Air) update to the Gionee A1 and the brand claims that this update is aimed towards providing a ‘never before’ experience to its young and on the move consumers.
Gionee pushes OTA update to the Gionee A1
The key features that this OTA update will bring to the Gionee A1 are:
- Separate folders for all your selfies: Every selfie that you click with the Gionee A1 will be stored in a folder separately named as #Selfiestan.
- A universal video player: Users will now be able to watch both their locally stored videos and YouTube videos in the native video player. The users will be able to watch YouTube videos in a floating window for convenience and a better viewing experience.
- Own albums: Users can now add tracks and create own albums to easily manage their music. The new feature also adds easy navigation by adding the alphabetic search feature in the music library.
- Everything else: The latest OTA also offers a customized suspend button functionality, comes with updated Google security patch. And it will also fix minor bugs and enhance the performance of the device.
Gionee A1 was launched recently and was targetted towards the selfie fans. The phone comes with a stunning 16MP front camera which offers great selfies. The Gionee A1 also comes with a long lasting 4010 mAh battery and ultrafast charging capability. The phone boasts of a fingerprint scanner and the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with Amigo 4.0 UI.
